Fractional compliance officer

A compliance officer for pharmacies that can’t hire one.

DSCSA didn’t add a one-time task — it added a standing obligation, and someone has to own it. We do: a named compliance professional on monthly retainer who keeps your procedures current, checks your records before an auditor does, and picks up the phone when a regulator calls.

Every month

What your compliance officer actually does.

SOP ownership

Receiving, quarantine, suspect product, recalls, temperature excursions — written for your operation, kept current as the rules move, and actually followed.

Packet review

Every Compliance Packet you generate is checked before it’s relied on — not after an auditor finds the gap.

Records monitoring

Your custody log, audit trail, and excursion history reviewed on a set cadence. Anything missing or inconsistent comes back to you with a fix, not just a flag.

Trading-partner checks

Confirmation that the wholesalers and carriers you use are licensed, authorized trading partners — monitored for status changes.

Audit on-call

When a Board of Pharmacy or FDA inspection happens, you have someone who already knows your operation, assembles the evidence, and can be on the call.

Regulatory updates

DSCSA and state-board changes that actually affect you, translated into what to do — not a link to a 40-page guidance document.

What this is, plainly

An advisory service, not a law firm. Your compliance officer works from what your data and processes show and gives you clear direction; final regulatory determinations and legal questions stay with you and your counsel. It’s a working relationship with one person who knows your pharmacy — not a ticket queue.

Runs alongside a Pharma Transport subscription. The platform is where the custody records, packets, and audit trail live; the retainer is the person making sure they’re right.

Questions

Before the call

Do we still need our own staff on this?

Your team still runs day-to-day receiving and dispensing. The compliance officer owns the framework around it — the written procedures, the record review, the regulator-facing work — so your staff isn’t improvising it.

What’s the commitment?

Month-to-month. Cancel any time. The SOPs authored during the engagement are yours to keep.

Is this legal advice?

No. It’s compliance operations and advisory. When something genuinely needs a lawyer, you’ll be told that plainly rather than guessed at.

Can we start before we’re a subscriber?

The intro call is free and doesn’t require an account. The retainer runs alongside a subscription because the officer works from your live records.

Twenty minutes to see whether it fits.
